We work with some of the most recognizable names in professional sport. These include World Champion Beast Mtawarira, former Manchester City and Portsmouth striker Benjani Mwaruwaru and former All Blacks and current England coach-John Mitchell, among others to deliver some of these objectives.

It is a well known fact that sport can play a crucial role in the development of aspiring individuals.

There is an overwhelming amount of scientific evidence on the positive effect that sport and physical activity can play in improving self-esteem and social interaction in the community, particularly when it is combined with a healthy diet. With this in mind, at Kyros Sports we understand that developing the sport industry builds a better society through social inclusion and well being schemes.

Meet the Team

Staff

Kisset founded Kyros Sports in 2011. During his time with Kyros Sports, the organization has put together high profile fixtures involving Super Rugby franchises, Vodacom Bulls, Toyota Cheetahs, DHL Stormers, Emirates Lions + Kyros Sports owned invitational side, Zambezi Steelers.

In 2020 Kyros Sports facilitated arguably Major League Rugby’s biggest signing, when World Cup winner Beast Mtawarira penned a deal with Washington D.C’s expansion team Old Glory D.C.

Kisset graduated from Leeds Beckett University in West Yorkshire, England with a B.A in Sport Business Management. Apart from running Kyros Sports, he is also the co-founder of Athstat LLC and Kyros Ubuntu a non profit 501c3 arm of Kyros Sports that focuses on using sport and education to foster social inclusion. When he is not working he enjoys spending time with family and friends over rugby and American football.

Carmen is the Social Impact Director for Kyros Sports. She along with Stacey are responsible for developing and implementing robust social inclusion initiatives in underserved areas. She is an aviation enthusiast and flies light aircraft as a hobby. She loves sports and is a keen field hockey player who plays regularly for her local club.

Nyasha is the Athlete Welfare Director for Kyros Sports. He is passionate about mentoring athletes achieve their individual potential on and off the field.

Ricky is the Director of High Performance for Kyros Sports. Ricky’s passion is to see an athlete fulfill their potential and part of this journey is to create a good model citizen. Sport comes with many life lessons that can be used beyond the actual game – the process that goes in creating a high performing human being is just as fulfilling as the result. He loves a good steak on the coals when not immersed in the world of sport

Thobie is the Administrative Manager for Kyros Sports. She has a demonstrated history of working in the law industry, specializing in Conveyancing as well as core competencies in events planning, events management, customer services and bookkeeping. She enjoys singing, music, playing tennis and spending time with family.

Lecs is the multi-media Director at Kyros Sports. He is passionate about photography and is well known in the sporting circles for producing quality work. He is an avid sports fan, particularly football.

Stacey is the Social Impact Co-odinator for Kyros Sports.She works closely with Carmen in developing and implementing robust social inclusion initiatives in underserved areas. She has always been passionate about helping young people pursue their dreams. Her hobbies are photography and squash.

Advisors

Chiedza, a Zimbabwean, was appointed as an independent Non-Executive Director for Kyros Sports in 2022. She was one of the initial volunteers for Kyros Sports back in 2014 when we brought John Mitchell (former All Blacks coach) to Zimbabwe for the first time. She is a registered Chartered Accountant Australia & New Zealand by profession. She is currently Head of Africa Finance Operations at Bboxx, overseeing the finance operations across Bboxx African markets.

Chiedza started off her career with 2 of the big 4 professional services firms, PwC Zimbabwe and KPMG New Zealand where she gained over 7 years combined experience in financial risk management, deal advisory and external audit. With experience working across different markets and industries in Africa and Australasia.

Tendai Beast Mtawarira is a retired 14 year rugby veteran. He is widely considered as one of the best to have played his position. On the field he won some of the most coveted accolades, chief among them, the 2019 Rugby World Cup. Beast belongs in an exclusive group of elite rugby players who have played 100 or more international games – only 77 players from 13 different countries have achieved this feat in history.

Mtawarira is passionate about youth education, youth engagement and using sports for good and has established his own Foundation, the Beast Foundation, to further those goals.

He has transitioned successfully into the business world.

John Mitchell is an elite rugby coach known for his cutting edge and innovative techniques that have made his sides tough to beat. He has coached some of the best teams in the world, with his most recent roles being with England, Wasps and Japan.

In 2001 he was appointed as the New Zealand All Blacks head coach, becoming the youngest coach to assume the position. He completed his 3 year term with a 88% win record.

Kudzai has been practising as a physiotherapist for over 15 years and her interests in the profession have evolved from acute care to rehabilitation over the years, but her passion remains in building a strong connection & rapport with her clients foremost in order to maximise their health outcomes. She advises on our injury prevention and rehabilitation processes.

Kudzai is a mother of 3 and enjoys spending time with her family when she is not running or hiking the trails of Adelaide.
